River's Edge Bar and Grill

Wonderful fluffy catfish, huge breaded tenderloins, delicious burgers, … The cake is divine. Love watching the river go by while I eat.

Great restaurant on the Wabash River where the White River meets the Wabash River at Mt. Carmel, IL. Delicious food. The catfish is 10 out of 10! Also loved the waffle fries and sweet tea. Great view. Casual atmosphere. Amazing service.

If your cold natured don't sit under the AC unit on the back wall cold air comes in around it. I got the chicken strips and fries the chicken wasn't seasoned the fries were soggy and looked like the were cooked in old oil. The appetizers were ok the mozzarella sticks were frozen the onion straws seemed good. We were here for an hour before we got our food and they were not busy. The service is the best thing here. The noise level makes it hard to hear the people in your party.

The personnel don't wear anything to indicate if they work there or not. It's a newly branded restaurant and that comes with questions. Multiple men in flannel shirts were getting ice out of the drink machine and dumping ice in, neither of which with gloves. Can I refill my tables drinks like one customer definitely did? The waitress checked on us once but we were all done eating and without anything left to drink at that point. In terms of value, I'll allow you to assess it. This tenderloin sandwich with a burger bun is worth $12 without fries or a side. The menu said "loosen your britches" regarding the sandwich. With a tip, would you pay $14 to $15 for this sandwich?

The service and food was delicious. The view was nice but the room was exceptionally cold and I am never cold. We had the kid's 3 pork tenderloin strips with gravy and waffle fries for $10.
