The ice cream has and will always be amazing. Homemade and so creamy. Today I had the peppermint hot coco and it was absolutely divine. The whipped cream is thick and fresh and the chocolate drizzle on top is to die for! Highly recommend summer or wintertime.

The staff adds to the experience with their warm and cheerful service. The mint chocolate chip was especially memorable, perfectly balanced and wonderfully refreshing. River Bottom Coffee Shop is a hidden gem in Algonquin! On a lazy Sunday visit, I was blown away by their fantastic homemade mini donuts—warm, fluffy, and perfectly sweet. Pair that with their rich, smooth espresso, and you've got a match made in coffee heaven. I didn’t get to try their homemade ice cream this time, but it’s definitely on my list for the next trip. The service was superb—friendly, attentive, and welcoming—making the whole experience even better. If you're in the area, don’t miss this cozy spot. A cute homemade ice cream shop! We met the owners who were lovely people. They use natural ingredients to color their products. I got the Hawaiian Coconut and my husband got the Raspberry Lemonade Sorbet. Wow—sooo good. 😋 Mine had a nice toasted coconut flavor. The sorbet was light and not too sweet. Definitely returning.

Excellent tasting ice cream, homemade in the shop! Could tell right away it was unique. The coffee and freshly made mini donuts were delish. Love the setup for live music, looking forward to coming back and getting more ice cream while hearing some tunes!
