Riverboat on the Potomac

Stunish views of the Potomac River, the pelicans and seaguls. The place is a restaurant and a betting place. Prices in the menu are good. We ate hush puppys, calamary and key lime pie.

Great lunch on the deck overlooking the water. Much better than expected. All of us were pleased with what we ordered. My wife got the special - Gumbo I had the Mast (Grilled Chicken Sandwich). Our friends had the Rudder (Ruben) and St. John (Steak sandwich). The bill was quite reasonable given the quality and location. Also the sandwiches all came with home made chips that were excellent!

Great views of the local beach and the lake. The food is delicious and cheap as well. Service is pretty good but a little slow (at least the lady that we had) but she did a great job overall. Sit outside and you'll love it. They do have a bar and lots of TVs inside (nothing like that outside). Definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

Chicken is always incinerated and dry even when asking please don't do that. Marsala sauce is more of a cream sauce/gravey, not a wine sauce and not many mushrooms or onions and no hint of marsala wine. It was awful. I've always said if I can cook better at home, there's a problem with the restaurant. To their credit, sweet potato fries were good.

I’ve always wanted to eat in a sad bingo hall, and Riverboat on the Potomac has helped me realize that dream. I heard there was going to be gambling here and thought they would have Blackjack and the like, but it all seems to be horse games. The food is giving Sysco, but that’s probably just for the limited menu this week. However, the staff are absolutely fantastic and we all left with a smile on our faces!
