Riverbank Family Restaurant

This was my 1st visit in years and it is now under new ownership. The view is absolutely beautiful with windows facing the river as I suppose the reason for the namesake. I must say the quality has really upgraded and you won't go away hungry! I would have given it a 5 star except one of the things that irk me is being comfortable. Do bring a sweater or light jacket if you are not able to get a seat near the gas fireplaces. The decor could also need some updating and warm/inviting touches but I'm sure that will come in time so there's room for improvement there yet. We both had the breakfast special which consisted of stuffed french toast covered in huckleberry sauce, hashbrowns/country potatoes, bacon, and eggs. I searched "restaurants with a view" and it did not disappoint. Delicious meal. We had stuffed bell pepper soup and salad, the steak with shrimp in wine sauce, and homemade Dutch apple pie. Very pleasant waitress. Business was slow (it was a Thursday though) and restaurant food is deserving of being a busy establishment. It is under new management which sounds like some good positive improvements will happen internally.

The eggs come to your table exactly the way you ordered them. The waitress who brings them gives plenty of coffee and smiles. You are seated far from other customers and the restaurant is clean. These are just some of the good reasons to eat here. The view is terrific too.

Best fish n chips this side of the pond, (NO JOKE!!) BUT HURRY BECAUSE I HEARD (JUST THE OTHER DAY WHEN I HAD LUNCH WITH MY MOM) WE HEARD THE WAITRESS TELLING ANOTHER TABLE THAT THEY WHERE CLOSING SOON, CUZ SOMEONE BOUGHT THE PLACE!!

Under new ownership. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and they have a fantastic view of the river from the dining room. Has a cozy little dive bar attached. The staff is fun and friendly, the biscuits and gravy are delicious and I have never tasted a better pecan pie.
