River Front Cafe

River Front Cafe is a casual restaurant. It offers breakfast, sandwiches, and pastries. We had lunch here as it seemed like a popular spot. We came around 1 pm it was a full house. We had the tuna melt sandwich and the Nutella crepe. Both of them were okay but not as great as we expected. I am grateful for the good meal and the chef’s hard work. However, the Nutella crepe with whipped cream was a little bit too sweet and greasy for my liking. Perhaps because we had too many sweets before we visited this place. Overall, it has a nice outdoor riverfront view and a relaxing atmosphere with indoor seating at a reasonable price. The pastries looked delicious too.

We came in for dinner and loved it so much we came right back the next morning for breakfast. The food was fantastic and the service and staff were somehow even better. It feels like a family in here. Had the chicken kebab plate and Mediterranean salad for dinner. Then a sweet crepe and chicken fried steak for dinner. Everything was amazing and we couldn’t be happier with the value and portion sizes.

Went here on a nice day to eat outside and enjoy the view. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all. The weather didn’t disappoint, can’t say the same for the service. Ordered two entrées, two coffees and two mimosa’s the food took 20+ mins to arrive, and only after I asked one of the servers for a status. After telling me she’d check I on the order she came back a few mins later and said “they’re making it now.” Food finally came out, no one offered an explanation or apology for the food taking so long. Don’t waste your time, go to Taps across the river instead. Rating is 1.5 stars

Pretty good food if you can tolerate an endless stream of bikes racing through the patio and employees that can’t be bothered to put their phones down long enough to get your order right. After ordering my wife didn’t get her food at all. After bringing it up ( after she ate half my burger and fries, they finally brought hers out as we were about to leave and the meat was cold and raw in the middle. Won’t be back.

We were passing through Petaluma around midday on our recent vacation, so we stopped for lunch at the River Front Cafe. The cafe is downtown on the riverfront. There was free street parking nearby and a nice outdoor terrace with tables overlooking the river. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. My wife enjoyed the falafel salad while I had a delicious Sonoma savory crepe, which included salmon.
