Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Rita’s are the best frozen custard place. This location is cold with basic setup and little outdoor sitting. The staff is helpful and good.

Cute location. Clean store with nice and helpful staff. This Rita's had the smallest selection of frozen custard flavours I've ever seen. At the time I went l, they only had vanilla and chocolate. I'm not sure why as it is almost summer.

Love Rita's but I have not been to the Mount Airy location for at least a year. They seem to consistently have flavors that appeal only to kids - ex: cotton candy, skittles, blue raspberry. I have to go to the Frederick location to get something like chocolate, vanilla, banana, mocha, coffee, etc.

Best tasting custard. Limited options but great quality. Slightly expensive compared to other competitors but the taste and quality makes up for the price. Located outside the main complex and away from the crowd which makes it a good pit stop place.

Rita's serves Italian Ice and frozen soft-serve custard. You can have the two mixed, layered, etc. The flavors of Ice change regularly, and custard is Vanilla or Chocolate or Swirl. Ask for free samples to figure out which ice you like. The ice is dense and flavorful, and the custard is creamy but not too rich. This particular Rita's has an eat-in area that seats about 20 people. It's rarely too busy and parking is adequate. I recommend Rita's Mt. Airy as a great place to take your family out for a frozen dessert, especially if it's too hot and you want to sit inside.
