Rip Van Winkle Brewing Company

I recently visited this brewery and had a generally good experience. The atmosphere was decen not cozy, but still a fine place to sit and enjoy a drink. The beer was the standout feature. Really flavorful and absolutely worth the long drive. The food and service were mediocre, but the quality of the beer made up for it. In the end, we still enjoyed our drinks and left happy. I’d come back again for the beer alone.

Honestly if you live in the area or in the Hudson valley and you haven’t been here, why? They have amazing pizza and wings. There sit is wonderful and enough space to navigate when going to table and leaving. I have had a few of there pizzas out side of the normal cheese, pepperoni, sausage you know the normal type pizza and I’m may not like a couple of them but they where really good. Have yet to be mad about any experience I have had going there. The staff is great and initiative. The portions are perfect and you will most of the time have to take some home. The building is clean and cozy. I don’t drink so I don’t know about the beers they make but I know people that have had there in house brewed beer and they liked them a lot. Good food, good service and nice atmosphere Update:11/29/24 Good service, waiter was nice and friendly but didn’t even show us the specials( which the other waitress was showing all her guest) while the food is still good, I had the Arugula salad and added grilled shrimp $8 extra - for 4 tiny shrimp. While salad was large the $ for the shrimp is ridiculous in price!

We went with a large group for dinner and had a great time. All of the food was excellent and at a fair price. Our waitress kept the drinks flowing as we enjoyed our meals. Don’t forget to leave room for dessert. This is an off the beaten path restaurant you must try. 1/10/24 i’m not sure what happened from the first time to the second time but the food the second time was a completely different food as it was not that good and I’m not really sure why went with the family this time. Youngest one had pizza did not like the taste of it. my oldest son did get the special today which was the tuna and it looks really good. Take a look at the picture and he enjoyed it. Stopped by the Rip Van Winkle brewing Co. for dinner and it did not disappoint. It was a really cute restaurant with a brewing area you could kind of see. Our waitress was nice and the food was great. We ordered the 12 inch traditional pizza, garlic knots (it came with 10!!), and a side of penne alla vodka. Everything was great! The side of pasta was huge and definitely more than enough for me. So that’s a nice trick to save a little money. The order of knots was so fresh and huge we could only eat half. And the pizza was so good and crispy. My bf got a flight of beers to sample and he really enjoyed them all. I also got the berry bourbon lemonade and it was so good. It was super busy, but I definitely recommend this if you are in the area!
