Rey Del Taco

Super disappointed with our takeout order. We've always loved this place, but today was the exception. Our plates barely had any food in them, and the food was stale. Ordered the Texas plates and didn't eat any of it. The meat was hard as a rock. Beans stale, cheese stale, and they forgot to give us cheese on the side we paid extra for. My husband's enchiladas melted through the Styrofoam container and stuck to it. Asked for my son's huevos rancheros salsa on the side, it wasn't, was poured on top and very watery. Sausage patty was super thin. No straw with our tea. Waste of money for food we couldn't eat. Think we will now be going to the new restaurant in town, such a shame. Would have taken the food back but we live too far.

This place is AMAZING! I usually get my food to go because we live 30 mins away, but it still tastes great. The taco dinner is easily enough for 6 tacos. Their pastor and barbacoa are spot on!

1st Time. Really liked it. Open space to eat comfortably. Very clean, bathrooms in hallway in separate room. Curbside and Call in pick up available. Staff was really friendly. Plenty of parking to include a small area of Covered Parking. I will try again, next time I am in town.

The enchiladas were ok. Basically, it’s a wrap corn tortilla with beef, and poured sauce on it. To be honest, it lacked flavor. The carne guisada was not bad. The rice was close to authentic. I liked the beans. It’s hard to find hand made tortillas now days. The service was great though!

Tacos are full of ingredients. Flour tortilla is fresh and soft and fluffy, not store bought. Barbacoa taco was really good with little to no fat and not full of grease. Bacon and egg taco has the bacon minced instead of a full strip of bacon. The menudo somebody else had ordered looked and smelled really good! Also bought empanadas to try.
