Restaurant Noe

My husband and I had a delightful experience at Noe. The food was absolutely perfect, with surprising flavors and unique presentation. I also loved being able to meet the chefs before dinner service. This place easily compares to other Michelin-starred restaurants I’ve visited and I’m excited to see how it grows. Please eat here so we can keep this absolute gem in Barrington!! We had a wonderful time at Restaurant Noe. The menu dégustation was perfect, the wine pairings added an additional level to each course, and being able to learn from Chef Noe and hear his stories made the night unforgettable. What an excellent experience. A celebration of life.

Noe is a truly one-of-a-kind suburban dining experience, made unforgettable by the chef’s warm, engaging personality. He personally asks about dietary restrictions and food aversions, then thoughtfully explains each course, making the evening feel intimate and special. The food was absolutely delicious — creative, beautifully presented, and deeply satisfying. There are longer pauses between some courses, but we left completely full and genuinely happy.

We had an intimate seven-course meal at Noe for NYE, and it was truly exceptional. With only about 11 guests, the evening felt personal, progressive, and more like a culinary experience than a traditional dinner. Chef Robert Gadsby came out for almost every course alongside his team, thoughtfully explaining each dish and every nuance behind it. At the beginning of the evening, he introduced his entire team and their roles, which immediately set a warm and welcoming tone. Throughout the night, he checked in at just the right moments to make sure everyone was happy and comfortable. The team took time to ask about preferences, dislikes, and allergies so the menu could be crafted accordingly. Restaurant Noe is a fantastic addition to downtown Barrington. It’s a unique dining experience in a small intimate setting. We celebrated our anniversary and everything from the food to the service was excellent. The chef and his staff did a great job explaining all the dishes. The flavors and presentation of the five different courses we tried were something memorable. We will definitely be coming back!!
