Respite Mountain House

This is a phenomenal place! The views are amazing and the proximity to Raystown Lake is unbeatable. The house is large enough for a multi family gathering and super clean and new. Chris and Angie are very responsive—wonderful hosts. My family will definitely be there again!

Would highly recommend staying at the Respite Mountain House with either friends or family. The balcony view is breathtaking, not to mention the aesthetics of the rest of the cabin! This getaway spot is both cozy and spacious. We loved roasting marshmallows under the stars the last night of our trip. It’s the perfect place to relax and recharge surrounded by natures’s beauty!

Stayed here for the weekend with a group of friends and it was AMAZING!! So much space and such high quality bedrooms and bathrooms!! We were able to keep everyone and had lots of space options for our games and activities. Also a stunning view from the balcony, and not far from the lake and parks. Best Airbnb I have stayed at, definitely coming back :))5 STARSSSS

First the house is beautiful! It’s very clean and simple but with style to make it easy to just relax! Our family made up of 7 units with in the family including 13 kids ranging from 12 yr.- 5 months stayed for Fourth of July weekend. We have plenty of room to move around inside and lots of exploring outside! We held family games, meals and worship on one of the many decks. The house made it feel like home away from home! Highly recommend!

Just returned from a wonderful Memorial Day extended weekend at the aptly named Respite Mountain House. Wonderful setting, wonderful accomodations, wonderful hosts! Mountain valley views were inspiring, sunrises, and even low cloud cover below were inspiring as we viewed them from the huge windows and balcony. Kitchen accomodations were the best I've experienced. Pretty much every kitchen appliance and feature you could want at home let alone on vacation. Great time, will definitely look to repeat in the future.
