Reserve 22

We had family in town and didn't feel like driving into Chicago so we saw this cute Holiday Pop Up on Instagram and decided to give it a try. It is suggested you make reservations so we went the Friday after Thanksgiving for lunch. Reserve 22 is located in the beautiful Village Links Golf Course in Glen Ellyn. The interior is beautiful! Our server Nancy was very good and attentive. They have a pretty extensive menu as well as Daily Specials. Prices tho are on the high side and they don't offer many GF items. They also have a kids menu if you ask. We didn't try any of their many Holiday Drink specials do that might have to be another visit. We ordered the Smoked Devil Egg trio but we're later told they were not serving it on the day we went. The kids enjoyed their children's meal as well

Atmosphere is top notch for the holiday season! The Decorations are tasteful and elegant. Our server was so nice. The food could have been better. I ordered the 8 oz filet. It was the chewiest steak I’ve ever eaten. I could hardly cut it. My uncle ordered the same, he could hardly cut his steak as well. The kids had pizza and a hot dog, which was standard. The hamburger was on soggy bun. Turkey pot pie was good. Shrimp pasta was average. The wedge salad needed more dressing. The 3 desserts were the best part of the meal; tiramisu, blueberry cobbler, chocolate mouse cake.

Reserve 22 was a great Christmas pop-up bar. The holiday cocktail menu offered a nice variety, and the cranberry Aperol Spritz was especially delicious. The atmosphere was very festive, complete with fun photo props for pictures. The service was excellent, and we enjoyed the pretzel appetizer—it was delicious. However, I wouldn’t recommend the fish; it was more like a soggy egg roll.

We really enjoyed our afternoon lunch experience here. It was my first time visiting. Was a nice, decorated, clean & relaxing setting. The food and the service were excellent. Some of our favorites were the pasta (steak & gorgonzola rigatoni) and sauteed spinach. The pot roast sandwich was good too 👍

Checked them during the Xmas and wow did they do a beautiful job decorating the place. It’s amazing and highly recommend a visit but then there was an amazing old fashion and the food was great.
