Genuinely the nicest and most hardworking staff around.

Great place for my kids to sit down and relax with a good book or get online for research as well. The staff is always eager to help out with locating a book, getting a new card, and is always friendly. The Summer reading programs for kids is also a nice touch during a boring Summer, and doesn't require much time at all on behalf of the parents--all in all, a great place to visit--check it out sometime!

The staff is very helpful and nice! They work with me getting things my 20yr old autistic nephew wants and my 67yr old mom who is on oxygen 24/7 that makes it hard to leave the house!!

Wonderful library that was first in the area to have a secure Covid-19 sanitary system when the openings began. Before that, they had great curbside service! The JCPL in Rensselaer had plastic shields up around their front desk, the distancing markers to separate, hand sanitizers, etc, plus all the personnel wearing masks and mandatory mask wearing for all visitors!! I was so impressed & absolutely loved the seriousness and great action that took place here! I must add, I didn’t see this care at other businesses! I applaud this wonderful library management & all the library personnel! They implemented quick, secure, safe action that is most definitely still in place as it should be! They really care for all visitors & personnel health & safety 💯% Thank You JCPL in Rensselear!
