Red River Public Library

Hidden gem of a library located in a town off the main tourist path of New Mexico. Librarian was very helpful with local information. What is really a local museum located in back rooms of the library. Computers available for general use. Also many used books for sale with titles worth buying at very reasonable prices. We visited May 2025

While in Red River, I had a few online meetings and some general work to get done. My TMobile hotspot had limited service, so I headed to the RR Library. It was FANTASTIC! Late Aug, so temps were perfect to work outside. I setup on their patio… view and WiFi was perfect. Highly recommend if you have to work while on vacation 👍❤️ **Librarian was sooo nice and accommodating. Wish I had gotten her name.. she was another highlight of my visit

This library is amazing, especially considering the small population living here. i was definitely very impressed and would recommend anyone in the area to come check it out. It has many of the same resources as the bigger libraries, and the materials are pristine. Thank you Holly & Nina.

We visited the library the second week of July. The director, Kerry, was so helpful and answered all my geeky library questions. They have a good selection of DVDs and music, as well as the current popular fiction titles. There are internet access computers and a Southwest Room which highlights the history of the area. Be sure to check out the Red River Characters wall. It was very entertaining.

Librarian Holly is one of the most wonderful, helpful. and accommodating people you could ask for in a public role. And the library, itself, is amazingly up to date with all the amenities you'd expect in a much larger town. Congrats!
