Red Door Bed & Breakfast Inn

We were on our way home from a long vacation trip and drove through Mason, Texas, and found this quaint little bed-and-breakfast in the downtown Square. The host is very friendly and the rooms are unbelievably nice. The balcony with the rocking chairs and the view of the now restored Courthouse was really nice. A very relaxing place. Highly recommended. There were lots of good dining options nearby within walking distance too.

Best place to stay in downtown Mason! Friendly & courteous staff. Comfortable beds & great rooms. Clean & all kitchen facilties & food & snacks you'd want. Like being at home. The balcony is a great place to sit outside, relax, have a drink or whatever while taking in the view. If you are looking for an overnight or more..... look here at Red Door! You won't be disappointed!

This is a self check-in B&B, so don't expect to be greeted by staff. You'll conduct your business via phone for booking, then email, or text for any subsequent Q&A. Rooms are modeled in a 1980s motif. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was squeaky clean. Individual room control with HVAC and ceiling fan. There are not many options in Mason for lodging. This is across from the town square and the highway traffic is constant. I recommend getting a room in the back, away from the street side. Kitchen(1st and 2nd floor) has a Keurig and they supply coffee, creamer, sugar, cups, etc. There is a full size fridge that you share with guests, so mark your personal items. There are breakfast items(self-serve). Yogurt was out of date, so heads up. Plenty of diagonal street parking directly i

Love this place! The host is wonderful, friendly and very interesting. I have stayed in 5 of the 8 rooms and they are all decorated so nicely and very comfortable. They also serve the best homemade sweet breads for breakfast along with fruit, yogurts, English muffins, etc…love the Orange Walnut bread!! It’s absolutely the best. The location is perfect for having ez access to everything downtown as you can walk. The outside balcony is a great place to have your coffee or a glass of wine. We are building a small barndo now at our property to stay in while we build a house and I am truly going to miss this wonderful spot when it’s done.
