Red Canyon Lodge

We absolutely love staying at Red Canyon Lodge! We've been there several times and have loved our stay every time! When the restaraunt is open in the summer, the food is fantastic! We alao love staying there in the winter and cooking our own food and enjoying the winter wonderland the lodge has to offer! When we think about somewhere fairly close to go for a fun and peaceful vacation, Red Canyon Lodge is at the top of our list!! Since the lodge was bought by new owners, there hqvw been a lot of changes made. I have a friend who is a food distributor, and she complimented the menu and the chef for freshness, and taste. The Red Canyon Lodge is in the wildnerness, so you are right in the middle of nature and you can i.merse yourself however deep you want to go, we love goi g to the lod

Red Canyon Lodge was the perfect spot for our family! It is the best spot to stay in the Flaming Gorge area. We stayed in a Ponderosa cabin and loved the views of the lake. My son spent most of his free time fishing in front of the cabin. My daughter and I enjoyed kayaking and canoeing while my husband and son were on a full-day fly fishing trip. There was plenty to keep us entertained. The dogs loved exploring the nearby trails. I highly recommend taking the Canyon Rim trail to the lookouts of the Green River. Spectacular views! We also all agreed that the restaurant was the best in the area. Red Canyon Lodge is peaceful and relaxing but offers plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy. Sunsets are amazing. Absolutely an awesome place to stay. The cabin was perfect and the restaurant service and the food was amazing. The location was great for our fly fishing trip on the Green River and close to some great hiking spots. We’re definitely going back next year!

My husband picked this remote lodge for the first night of our anniversary trip and we couldn’t have been more pleased. This place is literally a short walk to the south rim of the Flaming Gorge and has two lakes, a horse stable and multiple cabins (which we stayed in). The restaurant has a large open deck with views of their little lake and cute pond with ducks and a small waterfall. Our anniversary dinner was AMAZING! Service was great and the food was top notch. My husband had the Yak Stroganoff, which was phenomenal, and I had the lake trout (also delicious!). We had the honor of listening to a lovely young local woman sing and play acoustic guitar during dinner, which brought me to tears on a few songs. Her voice was absolutely beautiful. Beautiful location! We had so much fun. Everything you really need is provided and it was super easy to check-in/check-out. Would definitely stay here again.
