Ray's Donuts #4

I visited this location a couple of years ago for the first time. At the time I might have come here in the evening and not the morning I don't know what I got at the time or how good it was. I had to make a trip here again because it's closer to me 1.6 miles in the neighborhood. I came by here early in the morning knowing that the donuts will be fresh which they were. I got a 6 pk of donuts. Definitely worth the trip not a disappointment. I visited on 12-29-2025. Delicious fresh donuts.

Stopped in here because I saw it across the street while I was in Gutbusters. Got a cinnamon roll & an apple fritter just to try. Service was friendly & fast. The donuts were light, but full of flavor. Also, the prices were incredible for the selection size. They also do some coffees and breakfast sandwiches. I might come back for that. If you're in the area, stop in.

I’ve been a loyal customer for years ever since the pandemic 2020 I fell in love with their chocolate glazed doughnut because it reminded me of home back in Texas, but over the last couple months I have noticed that the donuts have changed taste inside for the same price, we’re getting a smaller doughnut so I brought it up today to her and then she lied to me and said oh the Baker the Baker and I know that they own it her and her husband that owns it in operates it. I just wish they would take accountability and say yes we got a new cutter.

I stopped by a couple of times during a recent trip to Decatur and was pleased overall. The chocolate frosted raised donuts were light as you'd expect for a regular donut, the frosting a little on the sweet side and the frosting could use more chocolate. Beware as the frosting tends to crumble and fall off when you take a bite. The strawberry cheese croissant was disappointing, the strawberry seemed to be a mass produced strawberry flavored jelly of poor quality and no identifiable strawberry flavor. The pastry was delicate, but its features were overpowered by the disappointing flavor. The cheese filling wasn't much better. After a couple of bites, I tossed the rest of the croissant.

The service is Friendly and fantastic. The donuts are exquisite and divine They also have convenient parking. They should charge $100 per doughnut. I love Ray’s number four.
