This was such a restful stop along the historic Magdalena cattle trail highway. Stephanie, Jason and Andrew were so welcoming it felt like I was visiting friends.||Ambiance/Setting: The patio is a restful place to watch the sun set and breathe in the high desert air. Take in the flowers, the hummingbirds, and the bubbling fountain. Stargazing was top-notch. Venus and Mars were right overhead when I visited.||If you're a birder, get out your binoculars when you stroll the property. In addition to wildlife, I also enjoyed communing with the horse, sheep, and a friendly chicken. The two dogs were sweet and their presence was much appreciated (I miss my dogs on the road).||Comfort facts: Super comfy bed, Pacific Norhtwest Coffee (!!!) and coffeemaker, great shower, and thanks for the TV. You can't beat the picturesque backdrop of the mountains here! The best night sky view. The hosts are very personable/attentive. They were even so kind to invite me for dinner and that wasn't even included! My room was cozy, quiet my and easy to control temp. A couple outlets didn't work and electrical shorts. Interesting wildlife made it in. Lol But Steph would go in it ASAP! I enjoyed my time there thoroughly. I'd definitely go back.
My son and I stayed here for 7 days on a late season elk hunt with Love-of-the -Hunt outfitters. The rooms we very clean and comfortable. Ours had a full bath and gas fireplace which was great to return to after chasing elk. The food was fantastic. The owners Josh and Stephany are fantastic hosts. It felt more like visiting a good friend;s home than a lodge or hotel. We arrived strangers and left the best of friends.
My wife and and our German Wirehaired Pointer Maggie spent a night here in early June, 2018. The hosts were great, very pleasant to visit with. The accommodations were very, very nice. Lori prepared a gourmet breakfast for us and another couple that also spent the evening. The husband of the other couple had never stayed here either, and I heard him tell Lori that initially he was nervous about booking the place and he was sure glad that he did. My dog Maggie had a great time playing with Jack. Thanks Lori and Lee for a wonderful stay.
On our way to see The Very Large Array, we stayed here one night. Wonderful hosts! Super sweet welcoming dogs and cat! Room was well decorated, clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was beyond words delicious...hostess Laurie/Lori is a spectacular cook, warm and welcoming hostess and great conversationalist! Absolutely would stay here again!
