Best chicken fried steak I ever had ! Out sightseeing for the day and stopped in Rancho for dinner as we passed thru Roma. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Our first visit but we treated as if we were regulars. The menu is loaded with close to 100 items to choose from, definitely something for everyone. Sweet tea was just right after a hot day and came with a large frosty carafe to refill from. The meal started with tortilla chips and a vegetable soup that was delicious. Others in our group were very happy with their taco dinners. I went with the chicken fried steak and was very glad I did. I absolutely love good Tex-Mex food and, Tex-Mex at Rancho Café is as good as it gets! I had number 70, Mexican dinner, two enchiladas, Chalupa, taco, rice and beans. My sweet waitress threw in Menudo and a complementary piece of pumpkin pie. My “glass“ of iced tea was perfectly brewed and came in a gigantic beer mug. If I lived here, I would eat there every single day!

Excellent service. I love the country feeling and the decorations. I had the chicken fried chicken, and when I asked for a steak knife, I was told that the chicken was tender so that I didn't need one, but the other male guests who ordered the same did receive a knife. It also felt a little hot and humid. Other than everything else was great! Maybe next time, I hope to update my 4-star review to a 5.
