Ranch*1

In the 90's Ranch One was THE BOMB. It was THE BEST chicken sandwich in NYC. Living in NJ the last 16 years, I thought there were no Ranch Ones here. I will NOT spend my money at Chik-Fil-A, so, no chicken sandwiches for me. Then, while taking a little trip down memory lane, I decided to Google it and I saw that there IS a Ranch One on 46, SO CLOSE to my house!! Why didn't I know? I called and ordered for my family, and the employee on the phone (Hector) was SUPER friendly and SUPER helpful. My husband went to pick it up. The chicken was every bit as delicious as I remember, it was the best salad I've had in a year, and it was SO MUCH FOOD that we put away a ton for the next day. And it's perhaps the cheapest place that we've gotten takeout in a long time. Small drawback: the menu says

This is a Ranch*1 and Blimpie in a shared location. The food was a bit different than all of the other Ranch*1s that used be around NYC. The fries were different and the bread was different (maybe because of Blimpie?) The classic grilled chicken came with lettuce, tomatoes and roasted red pepper sauce on it already (instead of just Romaine lettuce and sliced almonds) and it did not taste like it was marinated with the classic recipe. It was still good, just not what I had expected.

Definitely not the ranch 1 I remember as a kid. The place is attached to a blimpies. It is not ranch 1 the food looks nothing like the pictures.

Great party sandwiches! The Italian and tuna sandwich is great!
