Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers

The first time I visited was around the time they opened and was impressed at the beginning but the next visit with my fiancee with both agreed the chicken was hot but the fries were not which was disappointing. I get it the staple of the restaurant is the chicken but its not a meal without something else that pairs well with it just as hot and fresh. Sure I may visit periodically but thats the one thing in the back of my mind

So we finally hit up Raising Cane's. The line was ridiculously long, but we only waited 10 minutes, which wasn't too shabby. That was definitely the highlight of our experience. I'm not a fan, to say the least. All they serve is chicken fingers and a chicken finger sandwich - talk about variety. The three chicken fingers you get might as well be an overpriced kids' meal. And don't even get me started on the soggy fries and plain bread. I'm still trying to figure out why people rave about this place. Ten bucks for three chicken fingers, a handful of undercooked fries with no seasoning, and a toasted hot dog bun with butter - what a steal. First time trying Raising Cane's. It was pretty damn good. Chicken was hot, crispy, but like lightly crispy, didn't have that dirty oil taste or anything. Fries were cooked perfectly and I don't really care for crinkle cut. Place was packed. Like almost standing room only by the time I left. Staff was very friendly. My only complaint and it's not on this location it's probably just the company as a whole. Their chicken by itself is bland. It needs seasoning or salt or something. And I get they expect you to dip it in the sauce but you NEED to otherwise it's bland. Still really enjoyed the meal though and will be back for sure.

I ordered chicken tenders and fries, and while the food was hot and fresh, it was so hot that it melted a hole and dented the surroundings in the styrofoam container. The food tasted good, but the packaging issue was concerning. I am concerned about the consumption of possible microplastics or maybe even micro styrofoam for obvious reasons.

Chicken was hot and moist. Service was great. Though there was a huge line for the drive thru, we got through it within 30 min. It moved pretty steadily. Now I’m honestly surprised by all the hype. It wasn’t bad food, but to me it wasn’t rave worthy. The sauce was fine but honestly there are so many better sauces out there. Fries and bread wasn’t anything special. Coleslaw was very good, I did enjoy that. If you want a solid chicken strip you’ll probably love this. Nice and meaty. Wish there were a few more side options.
