Mom and dad, if you don't have a Cane's where you live be sure to have your student take you to Cane's chicken in Iowa City. The chicken is crispy on the outside but tender and juicy on the inside. The special dipping sauce is just rigjt. The locationis convenient, the store and everything is clean and the service us great. Take in the Canes story and U of I history on the walls. I predict you will want to come back to Cane's on your next visit as well.
Food was alright, just what you get at an average Cane’s, I would say tho, the fries are inconsistent, some of them were over cooked and some were undercooked. The interior design was great and I love all the Hawkeye stuff. The service was quick, I got there at 5:15pm, and got my order ready in less than 10 minutes, including wait time. The team lead was training an employee while I was ordering, and I thought she was very patient and detail oriented. There’s a parking ramp nearby, should be pretty easy to get a parking spot.
Went here during the Grand Opening! I grabbed a three piece box combo with fruit punch. I’ve heard that the sauce is a major component of the Canes experience and I am not a sauce loving girl. I tried the sauce and it was good but didn’t convert me to loving sauce. I will say that if you’re not dipping your chicken in sauce, this place ISNT worth it. Their chicken is quality but has ZERO flavor. So I guess you’re tied to the sauce or to bad chicken. It’s a cult classic but i’m begging this place to add a bit of seasoning to the dredge of the chicken. Other than that, the rest of the food was decent. The fries were good but could’ve been cooked a little more. The bread was OK. Some of those issues could be due to the fact that this place was super busy because it was the grand opening. The
Great Service! Food was quality and not cold, employees were some of the best I have had at a fast food restaurant! 10/10 recommend coming to this Canes!
Service was really good and the lady gave me extra napkins and a extra cup so I was very pleased with the service and food ❤️ and I would totally recommend it here if you love chicken and fries 🍟❤️❤️🍗
