Rainy Lake Inn & Suites

We stayed during a local parade and community celebration. Aug 9 and 10th. The whole town was out, watching the parade! Classic car show was fun. Ice cream shop was packed! Love the lemon bar cone💛 It was the perfect location to stay for the event - all within walking distance from where we stayed!!!!

I stayed at Tara's Wharf in a couple of different rooms for around two months this year, both at the end of the season and after the season was over. As a writer, I found the rooms quiet and idyllic, with big tables for spreading out my research materials. Large, floor to ceiling windows in "The Boathoust" gave me fantastic views of the docks, the lake, and Canada during the many types of weather represented in the borderland during the changing of seasons. The ice cream shop was perhaps too convenient for me, as the numerous rotating flavors expanded my waistline a few inches and deducted from my self-control. Our room was spacious and the view was beautiful. There was an abundance of amenities and Tara went above and beyond making sure we were taken care of. She personally greeted us when we arrived and had a genuine concern for making sure we knew what was available to us. Our beds were comfortable and everything you would need is available to you. (Even spices should you be preparing meals.)|The boathouse sits on Rainy Lake and you can see Canada as well as many boats. Tara's Wharf - Rainy Lake Inn & Suites in Ranier, Minnesota is an exceptional inn to stay at. My friend and I were offered complimentary ice cream, a breakfast and dinner. The room we had was well beyond our expectations. We had our own deck. Beautiful sunset. Saw Canada across the way. Restaurants are close by. There was entertainment coming from one of the restaurants. Rooms, service and location are all rated 10+. Tara is an awesome hostess, very warm, friendly and thoughtful. Great B&B in a perfect location on Rainy Lake. Enjoyed the Mahogany Suite which had a great balcony next to the lake. (All suites are right off the lake!) Cantilever Distillery is right next by and a must for dinner! Tara was also very accommodating and helpful during our stay. Would stay here again.
