Railway Express Diner

We went here for lunch based off of a TikTok video suggestion and it did not disappoint. If you're looking for a place that knows how to feed you this is it. You will not leave hungry. There were 4 us eating today. We had the mushroom burger, chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, and the passenger car burger. Everything was seasoned, hot, and fresh to the table. The mashed potatoes and gravy were homemade fresh deliciousness. Cheap it is not, but delicious it is. We'll definitely be back again.

I liked the building, but I think it would be best to get in that area before 5 so you can check things out better. Looks like there's a lot more site seeing could be done before dark. My wife had a hamburger and onion rings. She said it was good. I had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. The beans were good, the meat had a wangy taste to it. I thought it might be bad, so I didn't finish it. I guess there was a shortage on gravy because I didn't have enough to turn my chunky mashed potatoes into mashed potatoes. I didn't say anything about it. If I had they probably would have served me something else. I thought it was a little over priced, but I guess you're paying a little bit for atmosphere.

We are very thankful to have been referred here by Amy from Crow & Cactus Co. The diner is Beltons old train station in downtown Belton. This place is beautiful inside and out. Abby greeted us with a warm smile and was very kind! The food was delicious and their sweet tea was amazing!! We are grateful for our meal! Thank you!! 🙏🏼

Let's talk about going back home to eat Mom or Grandma's home cooking. Because that is the mind frame you need to be in when you talk about going to Railway Express Diner. Breakfast, Lunch or Diner, the food you order will be like eating at home when you were just a kid. Owners Christi & Joe Williams want to make sure that is the experience you have when you go to visit them. I promise, this fatboy loves it.

I rally like this place for some down home cooking. The chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken is really tasty. They have the best onion rings in the area. Definitely recommend if you want some classic cooking
