The experience was excellent—thoughtful food, attentive service, and a menu that rewards curiosity. The surprise of the night was the green beans. I expected them to be fine, maybe forgettable. Instead, they were outstanding—deeply flavored, perfectly cooked, and easily one of the best vegetable dishes I’ve had in recent memory. Not something I’d normally order, but they’re the kind of dish that lingers long after the meal ends. The shrimp croquettes were another highlight: beautifully crisp on the outside with a moist, delicate center. The curry flavor led confidently, followed by a clean shrimp finish. Balanced, intentional, and very well executed. The scallion pancakes were solid but unremarkable. They do their job, but in a lineup this strong, they didn’t stand out. The truffle dum
We had a fabulous time at Queen's English! The food was a perfect blend of modern, elevated, comforting, and delicious. The staff was attentive without being overbearing. Everything we tried tasted great. It was an excellent experience.
The special jumbo crab asparagus is great. Everything else , the truffle dumplings was not really a dumplings, more like mini salty meatball, the scallops crudo taste a little fishy/funny not in a good way, the duck drunken noodle was also mediocre disappointing. Overall all not worth the booking, atmosphere is chill but a little loud, no one really is dress like for a fine dining place fyi. We booked to sit at the bar in front of the chef but we immediately felt overwhelmed by the noise so we switched to a regular table. The staff was really nice able it. The worst part of our experience is that me and my partner both got the mocktails… not only it came in a metal can , it also tasted like a subpar soda that we felt scammed by paying $8 each for it.
Fancy, good meal! Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had. We sat at the chefs counter so we could see the action. Small, intimate vibes. Delicious food. Try the grilled octopus (even though it’s morally ambiguous). Dessert is not to be missed. Staff was super friendly and courteous. They comped a round of drinks for us because we were waiting a bit, though honestly didn’t feel that long.
I wanted to love Queen's English and had been looking forward to going for a long time. It's cute, the service was wonderful and some of the dishes, including the Bobo chicken, were quite good. But two of them really were not, and one of them, was aggressively bad. So while it was a lovely meal overall, I left wondering about the Michelin star and feeling that it was expensive given our disappointment with more than one dish.
