There were only vegetables, and only four slices of meat. Everyone, remember to count the amount of vegetables and meat before you eat next time. The merchant doesn't want to admit it.
The one on 86th St was amazing, unfortunately it was closed so gave this one a try. Ordered TongYum seafood. The seafood did not taste fresh. Barely any flavor in the soup. I was ok with it until I bit a clam that tasted like it's gotten bad, and the texture was like mud. Spat it out and abandoned the whole thing. I got a bad stomachache and diarrhea the next day.
stumbled upon this randomly on a super cold night, space is very new and clean and their individual hot pot hit different!! I've never tried self-serve and self-pick individual hot pot style like this before and it was delicious! I got the tomato soup base, and you get to pick out your own hot pot ingredients from the shelf and a choice of noodle, it was a huge portion and super filling (I had to split it into 3 meals). And this big bowl is only $13-14! Service was super attentive and friendly, ingredients you pick are supposed to be at least 1lb and they waited patiently for me to go back and forth to add more stuff to hit 1lb. There's also a 10% discount for student with a student ID when I went (they still gave it to us even though we didn't bring our ID). I think they're Canto-owned so
I’m surprised to see this place has a relatively low rating. I’ve been there twice for lunch, and my experience was good. The workers were friendly, and the service was quick. There was a good selection of dishes, and my food tasted great and had generous portions. The restaurant was also clean. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quick lunch spot in the neighborhood.
It's not a bad place, i had the fatty lamb with sichuan soup base, it was what i expected it to be, not bad, but burning to write home about, i like this type of eating where there's no waiters, you just order get your food and do your thing, they gave allot of soup, my order was pretty satisfying, price wise it was also pretty average, in total this place is a nice spot to try out, of you dunno what to eat then this is a good place to go the menu is very customizable and small so it's not overwhelming, nice place to come for a fast dinner after work, very recommendable. But also again, very average, maybe that's actually a plus though.
