My wife and I had reservations so there was no wait. Parking had its general city issues so plan ahead or use spot hero to secure a garage spot at a good price. The food was spectacular. The garlic rice is worth the upgrade and the short rib adobo was rich and savory. It did have a strong vinegar taste so if that’s not your preferred flavor profile, I recommend other dishes. The ube pancakes and lechón were definitely the star. The pancakes were fluffy and perfect sweet. The lechón was crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. I am glad we tried the champurrado. Think rice crispy cereal with a rich chocolate sauce and condensed milk with coconut flakes. It was a hit too sweet for my liking but my wife loved it. We went during brunch so the restaurant had some loud tables but that’
Yum!!! I grew up eating a lot of filipino food so this felt right at home! The lumpia is an absolute must. I also looooved the pork adobo especially for breakfast where they add eggs on top. The pancit was also soooo good. It’s nice to have this right in DC. Make sure to get a reservation because it gets packed in here! We came for brunch on a Saturday and called in beforehand to reserve a table and we are so glad we did. I saw a lot of cute dates here! It leans more casual but it is so cozy and cute. There’s also a bar right when you enter if you want something even more chill!
Came here for dinner recently on a Saturday night—the restaurant is small but was crowded, I would suggest making reservations. The Arroz Caldo (rice soup with chicken) was so delicious! The crispy garlic gave the soup so much more flavor. Enjoyed the Spicy Adobe Fried Chicken Entrée—not really spicy, huge portion, and I wished the chicken was more crispy because the sauce made it soggy quick. Also preferred garlic rice versus the spicy adobe rice. Pork Sinigang and Pancit Canton were good too. For cocktails, was not a fan of the Ube Mojito—tasted bitter and lacked any sweet or carbonated taste. For dessert, the Warm Pandesal & Ube Ice Cream was okay. Service was good and food came out fairly quick. Prices seemed reasonable as well. Parking is difficult to find—all street parking
Had an amazing experience at this Filipino spot! Adabo chicken highly recommended. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish was packed with authentic flavor and tasted freshly made. You can really tell a lot of care goes into the cooking. The desserts were just as impressive, the perfect sweet finish to the meal. On top of that, the service was warm and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to anyone craving great Filipino food!
We had the Kamayan service and it was a special experience with delicious food. Chef Patrice Cleary took time to also talk with us and set our table. She told us her incredible story of her service and passion for food and her culture. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for its food and hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful night. Semper Fidelis Chef.
