Pupatella Neapolitan Pizza

Good pizza if you’re in the area but underwhelming for true Neapolitan pizza if that’s what you’re looking for. Unfortunately, we did not realize this was a chain, but walked for about half an hour to get here. The service was fine, one waiter was really nice and one waitress was less so. The space was clean and ultimately would say the pizza was just average. The margarita was pretty good, the corn and prosciutto was disappointing, and the kids cheese was fine. The corn prosciutto was really wet and soggy, and I wouldn’t say any had great leopard or crisp bottoms. The eggplant Arancini was not great, and unfortunately, they were out of the sausage Arancini. The mozzarella balls were fine, and the Brussel sprouts are actually pretty good.

Our DCANTER team hosted our holiday party at Pupatella on Capitol Hill, and we had the best time! First of, best pizza experience ever! So delicious! They also have gluten-free options for our team. Our server, Courtney, was lovely and very friendly, KP (the manager) was super professional and amazing! They made us feel welcome and were genuinely attentive. We will definitely be back!

Food was delicious. Our server Amir was always around and made sure that we have a beautiful dinner. Highly recommend this place to taste some authentic pizza and cocktails!

Delightful local neighborhood restaurant. We enjoy the open air garden when weather is nice, and pleasant inside seats when outside is chillier. Some yummy local beers on tap, flavorful pizza flights, and the you’re feeling decadent the Nutella Angioletti Fritti.

Outstanding food!!! The handcrafted pizzas and sandwiches were amazing. The crust was perfectly baked; the selection of toppings was great. The advertised specials and end costs didn’t match, as the server didn’t explain the discrepancy. However, this was not enough to sway from patronizing the establishment again. Suggest blinds or tint in the street-side dining room, as the sun glare in the late afternoon/early evening was annoying.
