Happy and attentive crew, and you get to watch a pizza being made in a wood-fired oven. It’s nice watching them work the dough, too. As for the pizza—no complaints! Quality, fresh ingredients. I had a simple Napoli pizza with fontina, mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes. Definitely coming back here again. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and warm; the yellow stucco, brick, and wall-mounted Italian sculptures make this a pleasant place to dine-in, especially during the Winter (feels like an Italian Summer’s day inside). Though it’s a relatively small space there’s plenty of seating inside. Nice granite tables for the booths, and dark wood for all the other furniture.

Punch Pizza in Northeast Minneapolis is an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates authentic Neapolitan pizza. The moment you step inside, you can smell the smoky goodness of their 900-degree wood-fired oven. It's a no-frills, get-to-the-point kind of place, and that's a huge part of its charm. While their classic pizzas are fantastic, I build my own with anchovies and piparras peppers. Yes, anchovies!!! 😋 It's a bold combination that delivers a perfect balance of salty, briny, and subtly spicy flavors. The thin, blistered crust is the ideal base for these punchy toppings, and the quality of the ingredients truly shines through. If you're looking for a pizza experience that's a step above the ordinary, this is the place to go. Punch consistently delivers a top-tier pie that will have you

The half portion of the Punch Salad is the best deal you'll find east of the Mississippi. First off, don't be deterred by the "half" size. It's practically overflowing on a normal-sized plate. The greens are actually good, not the chopped up dry leaves you get at most restaurants. Now for the toppings. Fine-grated Parmesan, pine nuts(!), and prosciutto. Topped off with two pieces of bread. And these aren't two slices of day-old baguette. No, it's more like two slices of pizza topped with spices instead of cheese and tomato sauce. All for the price of $5.60.

Awesome Neapolitan pizza. The toppings are fresh and flavorful and crust is chewy. We loved both the number 6 and number 13. Good amount of salami and spice on them and we ordered pepperoni mushroom to see how it would taste.

It's been 15 years since I stepped foot into a Punch Neopolitan. The experience has even improved a great deal over the years while still maintaining what is the heart of this delicate restaurant. I recently moved back to MN and have raved about this place as no other place; even 800 Wood Fired Pizza in FL couldn't hold a candle to Punch. The staff (I feel as though the term in and of itself isn't as personal as the experience received when dining here) are impeccable in their service and well rounded in their personalities. My excitedness was embraced by these lovely people and to my delight, I was brought a plate of artichoke dip with fired up dough to enjoy on the house as a "welcome back gift." This is again my weekly spot. Not just for the food but the people and the ambience.
