Pulaski BBQ

I’ve been eating lunch here for about 15 years and I keep coming back for a few reasons: The food is exceptional; the chicken and ribs are the best in Newark by far, probably the best in the state. The yellow rice is a personal favorite of mine and the portions are always generous. The staff are all very friendly, even when it’s busy. I’m always greeted with a smile and taken care of promptly. Cleanliness! I’ve been to plenty of places in the area and not all of them are concerned about cleanliness and hygiene. Pulaski is always sparkling clean and the staff is constantly cleaning every inch of the place. Prices are very fair and well worth it. The soup of the day was delicious, and the bread was soft and fresh. Chicken and rib combo is a great deal. Chicken was a little on the drier side but the ribs were great but the massive proportions and great service make up for it. Flan was okay, not the best I’ve had but not bad by any means.

Pulaski BBQ has a small menu and cheap eats for Ironbound standards. The pork ribs with yellow rice & fries was delicious. The seasoning and charcoal taste was amazing, the fries were crispy, however the rice is pretty bland. My server was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. This is one of my favorite spots in Ironbound and I would recommend that you check It out.

Went with my family to eat it after it reopened. They had no bread They had no t bone steak They had no Flan They only told us that they didn't have steak when we already waited 30 minutes. And we saw a mouse running across the walls.

Used to be the best chicken in town, not anymore! Service is terrible and rice so so greasy! I miss the old owner! Sad it’s under new management
