PT PHO Express- Avondale

I really wanted to give this place more stars and even kept coming back, hoping to eventually give it an exceptional rating. Unfortunately, that never happened. The food is just okay — nothing terrible, but not the highest quality either. It’s comparable to other Pho spots in the area at the same price point, but nothing stands out. What really hurts this place is the overall experience. The floor is consistently sticky every time I visit, which is hard to overlook. I’ve gone during both busy and slow hours, and the service never rises above a two-star level. It’s slow and inattentive, regardless of how crowded the restaurant is. Never going here again pho was very salty we told the waitress all he told us was oh it’s pre packaged and we can discuss this with our distributor the pho was warm not hot it got cold right away we ordered the egg rolls and they were burnt how can you mess something that’s just fried ! Springs rolls we’re discussing as well. Overall don’t recommend and I only left one star to do this review they honestly deserve ZERO stars . Oh & they didn’t want to take the food off the check or give a discount we literally had to keep saying how is this our fault your phone is salty and the person behinds complained as well . Just horrible

This place is disrespectful to my people. I ordered the pho dac biet. Which is the combination pho. The guy on the pho didn't know what that was. We told him it was the combination. Then when we got there we noticed on the recipe said pho Tai. I tried to tell one of the waiter but he didn't understand either. He told me it's the regular pho. I told him I didn't want regular but he assured me its correct. It came out to be a pho Tai. But pho Tai is suppose to be rare beef but the beef is in the broth which makes it not rare anymore. If you don't know the food please don't pretend that you do. It's just disrespectful.

The pho was good, and the portions are large enough to feed two people. However, the service was disappointing. We ordered a steak pho and egg rolls, but the egg rolls didn’t come out until the main meal was served. It took 45 minutes for our food to arrive, which is far too long, even with a busy to-go order volume. Overall, the long wait and poor timing took away from what could have been a much better dining experience.

I really wanted to like this place. I’ve given it multiple chances, but each visit has been worse than the last. Today was officially my final attempt. It took 30 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us. Our waters were forgotten entirely, so I ended up eating my meal without a drink. That alone would’ve been frustrating — but it’s part of a pattern here. On previous visits, the pho has been inconsistent and disappointing. The broth has arrived lukewarm. The noodles have been starchy and overly thick. I’ve been served undercooked meat. The vegetables have come out mushy, brown, and clearly overcooked. The quality control is simply not there. To make matters worse, I’ve also experienced multiple charges on my card because their payment system “wasn’t working.” That’s unacceptable.
