I really wanted to love Provision Haus — it used to be this charming little coffee and candy shop full of character. Now it’s dwindled down to a few sodas, a couple of shirts, and “homemade” ice cream. The biggest letdown? Asking for Swiss hot chocolate and watching them proudly whip out a pack of Swiss Miss like it was imported from Zürich. Little Switzerland, NC has so much potential — but if these shops don’t wake up and lean into the Switzerland part of their name, they’re missing the whole point. People come here hoping for a taste of the Alps, not just another generic NC souvenir stop.
Fun shop to get an ice cream cone and info about the area. Staff was friendly, ice cream was good, nearby views - see pic - (and the drive up!) were pretty spectacular.
Truffles are on the pricier side ($4/each) but they are big so one is enough for one person. They are tasty but could be less sweet IMO. Cute place, nice staff.
I bought chocolate for my daughters as a gift now in October and it was expired last March. That's ridiculous!
Adorable ice cream and candy shop, with about 3-4 vegan ice cream options. Has some outdoor seating. Cute photo booth too, where you can take home a little picture souvenir. Two free arcade games to play.
