Proper Patio

Proper Patio is located in the lobby of the Proper Hotel, which was beautifully designed by Kelly Wearstler. We visited on a Saturday evening, and initially had a table out on the patio, which is street level boxed in with hedgewoods. But because of the location, there are a lot of sketchy people walking by. I'm sure it was fine to sit outside, but we elected to move inside just in case! They started us with complementary champagne, which we did not expect and it was very nice! We also had the mussels with chorizo, squid salad with faro and the Basque cheesecake with persimmons. Everything was delicious and we had excellent service. It wasn't overly crowded, but they did seat you well apart. Note that the location of the hotel is not in a good area, so you'll be forced to valet your car. V
