Proper Food

I’ve been a loyal Proper Food customer for quite some time, often ordering lunch for myself and my team. But over the past several weeks, it’s become impossible to ignore that both the food portions and container sizes have been clearly reduced, while prices remain the same or even higher. This kind of quiet downsizing feels deceptive and disrespectful to everyday consumers who have supported the brand for years. I understand that costs rise, but transparency matters and this approach erodes trust. I’ve decided to change my daily lunch supplier for myself and my team going forward. It’s unfortunate because Proper Food used to stand out for quality and integrity, but these recent changes make it hard to feel valued as a customer.

Awesome food. I tried the salmon and the chicken and they were both great. Also the yogurt is very good. I wish they added the list of ingredients and the nutrition information to every meal to have a better idea of what we are eating.

I picked up the Lean & Clean w/ Chicken from Proper Food - First St. through MealPal and wow, it was fresh and flavorful. The broccoli, chicken, and herb sauce made this meal both nutritious and satisfying. Definitely a delicious choice for lunch!

One of the manlet workers here decided to go out of the store to harass a man who was briefly filming from the sidewalk towards the store; sticking what seems to be the stores iPad into the mans face and all up his personal space, impeding his personal space. He started becoming really passive aggressive and self projecting his own insecurities towards the victim. Initially at first, a worker with a beanie and glasses went outside and decided to discriminate the victim and was prejudice saying if he was autistic. That is inexcusable behavior. that's not how a business operates. In what world is something like this normal?Horrible. Absolutely shameful.

AVOID! I wish I had read the reviews before I had placed my Uber Eats order. It would have saved me a lot of time and stress. I placed an order for myself and 12 others at 10 am for 1:30 delivery. PLENTY of time to fulfill the order, no matter how busy they may have gotten. 1:15 pm rolls around - again, 3+ hours after placing the order - and I receive a notification that Proper Food cancelled the order. No reason, no apology, just "Your order was cancelled by the restaurant." So I had 12 hungry people expecting food in 15 minutes, with no answer for them. Don't waste your time like I did, and look elsewhere.
