Proper Fish

Fish n chips ✅ Chowder ✅ Lobster Roll ✅ All were certified bangers and I would definitely crush any and all on any given day, but the fish n chips really do steal the show. The batter and the crisp is pure perfection. Definitely worth the short ferry ride over from Seattle for sure. Can’t wait to make our way back over for some more .

From the sidewalk, the bar is located at the front and the restaurant is around the corner. We didn’t realize this until halfway through our meal when one of us needed to use the bathroom which was outside and around the corner. The bar area is cute. The mural of the ferry and the whale is very well done. Service was quick and the food came out promptly. Our whole group loved every bit of our food - fish tacos, fish and chips; I got the fish sandwich. The fish was cooked perfectly and the batter stuck to the fish without being too thick. We got a bit of all the sauces and our entire group could not get enough of the basil aioli! We will be back!

We shared the lobster roll, chowder, and fish and chips. All were excellent and came out quickly over weekend lunch. The lobster roll had large chunks of lobster and the bread was toasted perfectly. The fish and chips was a very generous portion. The batter was nice and crisp. All very good value for the price.

Best fish and chips I've had in I don't know how long. Love finding a place I can give a 5 star review and mean it! Not that I hand them out lol Huge slab of fish! Perfectly cooked and salted just right. We also got a bowl of the clam chowder and it was delicious. Can't say enough about the food. If you are in the area I would definitely come in and treat yourself to a great meal. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. Top marks all around! Cheers.

We found this place thanks to a nice lady at one of the gift shops in town! We went there for fish and chips but decided to go with the fish tacos. And they were delicious!! We have eaten fish tacos from many different places all over the country - and I am going to say these fish tacos were among the best we have ever had!! (If not the best!!) You order at the counter and they bring you your food. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The reasturant is down the sidewalk on the side of the building. They have a bar at the front entrance. They had a lot to offer on the menu and it all looked good as I watched it being delivered to customers. Serving sizes are on the large size. If you like fish and chips or fish tacos this is your place!
