I really enjoyed the latte at Prato Bakery; it's a personal favorite. This time I tried the pistachio croissant and it was delicious—the staff was even kind enough to offer to warm it up for me, which was a lovely touch. Great service and a wonderful treat!
Great little Tuscany-style cafe! Loved the food, everything was fresh and tasty. They have a great selection of Tuscan breads and baked goods. The place is cozy, and the people were super friendly. Will definitely come back!
Prato Bakery is the real deal. As someone from Tuscany, I can say this place genuinely captures what a proper Italian bakery should feel like — and that's not easy to pull off in Jersey City. The cantucci are exceptional: made with a traditional recipe, no butter, no preservatives — exactly as they should be. The schiacciata is crispy and flavorful, the cappuccino is spot on, and the sandwiches are fresh and generous. Breakfast, lunch, pastries — they do it all, and they do it well. The space is warm and welcoming, and you can feel the care and passion that Simone, Teresa, and the team put into everything. Prices are fair for the quality you get. If you're looking for a little piece of Tuscany in the area, this is it. Highly recommended.
Ordered their most popular sandwich, the Brontë. At first I was skeptical because there were really only 4 ingredients, and at $20 after tip for a single sandwich it seemed a bit steep. After re toasting and trying it, however, I was impressed by how a simple sandwich could be so tasty. The ingredients all blended together so well, with the pistachio cream being the glue that tied together and elevated the sandwich to great heights. After finishing the sandwich in one sitting, I was left particularly full and satisfied. I would definitely recommend the Brontë to those looking for a solid Italian style sandwich, and would love to try the other options as well.
Great authentic italian panificio. This is like italy fresh pizza panini and I really love their chocolate biscotti it’s my favorite. They have italian products here a little expensive but it’s all imported the goods. I feel like I am in Italy when I come here it’s a great place to get the pizza my favorite is the margarita it’s $3.75 but is filling I come here after therapy next door .
