Customer Reviews
This little bakery sits at the NPS Glen Echo Park site. It features drinks, sandwiches, and, of course, baked goods. I went with a pumpkin cookie and a lemon drop cookie - both amazing. Cost was $3 per cookie, so not the cheapest, but the quality was good and the location was magic. I was there at around 3, so there was not a lot of choices, but, again - those cookies were really good.
Two visits, two lessons: first time the coffee with milk barely tastes like there’s any milk in it. Second visit: Learned our lesson! Bottled drinks only. But then... toddler wanted fizzy water *in a can*. I asked for one of the plentiful thin plastic cups. Denied! Apparently, these sacred vessels are reserved *only* for beer purchases. Because nothing says 'family park refreshment' like prioritizing suds over sippy-cup substitutes for preschoolers. We're happy to fund the park premium, but maybe throw the parents a cup? Literally?
Best blueberry lemon pound cake I’ve ever had. Amazing!
I’ve been here twice— the first time, they had almost nothing offered on the menu and didn’t even have a knife to cut the sandwiches in half for us. The second time (today) there were teenagers working there and once again, no ice cream and a nearly empty pastry case. The sodas were $3… this place has an opportunity to really make some people happy and make some money doing it but… they’re just opting out. Free advice: they should move this to the candy shop space right by the entrance, it’ll get more attention.
Friendly staff but the people who come here are mostly families with kids. Kids generally won’t eat chicken salad sandwiches and Turkey and Brie. If you offered kid-friendly options like pizza and hot dogs, or more plain/simple lunch options, you’d make a lot of money!
