Powder Springs Library

My grandaughters and I loved this library branch. They have a wonderful area for children's reading, to play, and coloring. Also available are computers for ages 12 and under in this area. The branch is clean and orderly. The clerks are very hospitable and nice. Wonderful selection of books.

Quiet. Never had any issues. My daughter enjoys the activities available weekly. The staff is VERY kind as well.

The librarian wanted to deny me a library card because I would not register to vote. I declined the voter application she gave me. She was serious. She encouraged me to leave. It felt like racial tension. I can't stand Georgia. Another stepped up and did what was legally required: give me a library card without registering to vote. For a place of declared intelligence, this location seems to have none. Their response: blah, blah, blah. The fact is a librarian was so small minded she wanted to deny me a library card due to my refusal to register to vote. This is a review long overdue.

My kids like coming for books. I like that they have play areas for the litte's and a coloring area for the bigger kids. They also have computers with games for kids to play. They have a good variety of books. Also, my youngest enjoys Toddler Reading time (they read a book or two, do an activity related to the book, and send an activity for home). The librarians are kind and knowledgable.

Powder Springs library has a great staff. There is a young man Trevor who is always helpful with the computer. He is very patient and personable. Customer service there makes you feel so welcome.
