Pounders Hawaiian Grill - Fort Walton Beach

Seems like a Hawaiian fast food joint. Food was pretty average and good, considering it’s a fast food joint. The lady was nice taking our order and they even bring the food to you. Had the Kailua Pig, Teriyaki Chicken, & Steak with white rice, brown rice, & macaroni salad. The white rice was too mushy for my liking, the brown rice was good (had a sweet taste), and the macaroni was 0/5 for me. It really didn’t have any flavor but the texture was good. The chicken was pretty light in flavor and for it being a chicken thigh, it was on the dry side. The steak was the same too. I don’t know if they just pour sauce/juice but it definitely needed the juices on the bottom to help give it the flavor it needed. The Kailua Pig was good too but a bit salty. Some of the best Hawaiian food in the area. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. Steak is a little tough though. That said, I still feel like Pounders in Pensacola has the edge with more generous portions and a slightly fresher taste.

This is the best food i’ve ever had in my entire life. The quality and flavor of this plate has changed the entire trajectory of my existence. I will never look at a burger the same after tasting something so wonderful and succulent. I will never feel as much joy eating anything else but Pounder’s food.

Visiting from Ohio and have heard rave reviews so had to check it out ourselves. The customer service was AMAZING. The speed of the service was unbelievable. Despite the crowd we got our food in under 5 minutes. The meat was so tender and juicy. The rice had just the right flavor and texture. The macaroni salad was to die for. When they heard it was our first time, the gave us complimentary cookies and extra sauces. 10/10 experience will be back tomorrow.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! my favorite lunch time spot in a 50 mile radius. Fast, simple and so good. I got a "regular ", which is 2 meats, 2 sides of rice plus sum veggies and its like $13. Flavor is incredible and super authentic. Highly recommend 👌
