Porter Haus Bed & Breakfast

Karen and Rick were exceptional hosts. They are very friendly, informative, and accommodating. If they could not answer a question they would look it up. Breakfasts were gourmet and satisfying. We gave the room a rating of 4 because the bed was high. Everything was clean and well maintained. The haus is located in a beautiful hilltop country setting.

We just got back from spending two nights at Rick and Karen’s simply beautiful BnB. Firstly, as soon as we drove up to the BnB we were stunned at how gorgeous the property was! Then we stepped inside and we were amazed at how spotless the place was and how beautifully it was decorated, it felt brand new! We were greeted by their two friendly dogs who I absolutely fell in love with. Rick and Karen showed us around and gave us pointers on exploring the town, which was only 10-15 mins away so the location was perfect! During our stay we sat outside on the patio by the fireplace gazing at the stars one of the nights and even saw deer on the property! Staying at the Porterhaus in Fredericksburg, hosted by Rick and Karen, was a truly unforgettable experience—one that felt divinely timed and filled with warmth. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by a sense of peace and hospitality that is rare to find. Though the home had a cozy and welcoming charm, it was also expansive and beautifully laid out, filled with thoughtful touches and elegant design. The back porch overlooked a serene field atop a hill, where we spent our mornings sipping hot, quality coffee while watching hummingbirds flit through the quiet air. We had a wonderful experience at Porter Haus B&B! Rick and Karen were so hospitable! The bed was SO comfy, the shower was great and had amazing water pressure! I can’t even put into words how amazing the breakfast is 🤩🤩🤩 and the candy dish that had the best candy…we couldn’t pass up without grabbing a couple of pieces! Porter Haus Bed & Breakfast far exceed our expectations. The property was beautiful. It was about 15 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. It was nice to be in the country away from the town but close to it. The room was amazing, comfortable and inviting. The breakfast was melt in your mouth delicious. The Porter's made you feel right at home and part of the family. I have never had an experience like this, it was so different from being in a hotel. We will definitely be back.
