Port Jervis Free Library

place is absolutely the best. they have a ton of events that involve everybody and I'm especially really good two kids. the upstairs is laid out perfectly for them which allows them to play or read and learn some computer games. the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming to everyone

My 85 Mom always loves to go to visit the library. She likes to visit the used books in the basement and then go to the periodical section. The staff are helpful and bathrooms are always nice and clean.

I would give this place a five star rating; however they are located in Port Jervis. I am not fond of the area. With that being said, this library is very good. The librarians are polite and courteous. The woman who handles the computer room is extremely kind to everyone. She will help you with what you need help with and even being very thorough and thoughtful. The library is always clean even though the building is old, they maintain it perfectly! This is probably the best library in Orange County! It is a shame that it's in Port Jervis.

Sent from my iPhone I just went to the library today. It’s been many years. I needed to use the computer there. I went up to the desk explained why I was there and after the formalities this is what I got. A keyboard and wireless mouse dumped on the counter in front of me. I had to ask how they worked and then when I was told which computer to use I had to ask once again where they were located. I then had to ask through the course of my short time there about printing and such…then I needed to ask how I could send the document to my personal email and mysteriously the person couldn’t figure out how. At one point I actually asked this person if I was asking unusual questions due to her attitude. She then seemed even more snarky when she replied no. I hope you aren’t paying this person to d

The staff in there deserve way more credit than they get. I watched them sit for hours with patience of a saint with a person thst clearly needed help. They open thier doors to the homeless people when the warmin station closes and dont call the police on people just for not having anywhere to go.they are definitely more than a place to get free internet and books.
