Poppa's Place

Quirky little dinner. Went for breakfast, place was packed. Waitress was on top of everything a day food was delivered super quick. Cinnamon was good, not too much frosting. Country omelet had tons of sausage.

Excellent food. The service was exceptional as well. Make sure to try the Beef Pasty with homemade potato chips, fried chicken, and cod dinner. Honestly, their beef pasty is the best I have ever eaten, and I’ve been to the U.P. and eaten many there. Sorry, Yoopers! Poppa’s wins!

A great place for breakfast or lunch. Portions will fill you up and service always quick and with a smile. I love the porky pig omelette (no opinions on mine).

Highly recommend Poppa’s Place! My family has been coming here for breakfast every summer when we visit Clark Lake since I was a kid. Poppa’s Place has always had great service, homey decor, delicious food, generous portions, and very reasonable prices. You really can’t go wrong here. I was especially impressed with the service today. There was one waitress working the whole dining room for most of our visit due to a staff shortage, but she was really on the ball. She managed the stress beautifully, worked quickly, always remained friendly and as attentive as possible, and she even helped in the kitchen on top of that. Major kudos! (I forgot to take pictures of our food before we started eating, but here are some pictures of the decor I mentioned. I love the atmosphere here.)

Called to place an order. Really weird experience. Got put on “hold” but i could still everything. Could hear the lady checking everyone out. Not only was she kind snippy to me, but sounded like that to other customers as well. I’m sure they were just really busy but felt really unprofessional and rude. After about 10 minutes i hung up for phone. She definitely forgot about me.
