Popeye's Chop House

We went to Popeyes, with a group of 36. We were celebrating an anniversary. We had 3 tables 12 each. Rylie was the server at our table. She is a wonderful person. She is energetic and attentive. She kept our drinks filled and was always there in case we needed anything. You have to ask for Rylie if you go. We started with onion rings, t-ravs, livers, and gizzards. Next up was a salad with homemade blue cheese dressing. I got the beef tenderloin with demi-glace. It came with onion straws, gouda mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. Everything was cooked to perfection.

We make the 45 min drive without hesitation, it's just that good! The staff is always upbeat and very courteous and the food speaks for itself! We were there tonight and it was packed which is good!

Popeyes was our favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. When it was time to meet our daughter’s boyfriend we thought Popeyes would be the perfect place. Unfortunately this visit was a huge disappointment. Both the boyfriend and I ordered the prime rib. The wife and daughter ordered the filet. Both prime ribs were too fatty. My daughter’s filet was rare instead of medium rare. If I’d known this I would have let our waitress know. She didn’t tell us until the next day. I doubt if her boyfriend from Chicago was impressed. This is how much fat was in the half of my prime rib that I took home and eat for lunch the next day. I did leave a message for them but they didn’t respond.

Popeye's is a great place for a steak! We had our rehearsal dinner here and revisited on Valentine's. It was absolutely jam-packed, but the staff and hosts did a great job of keeping everything moving. We were there late in the evening and unfortunately the filet was not cooked to our liking, but the owners didn't charge us for it even though we didn't complain. Can't beat service like that! We will definitely be back.

Had a great dinner here. Service for 65 people was excellent. Food was great and plentiful. Drinks were great.
