Poor House Bar-B-Q

Ample parking, lots of seating, the bar top, details and decor are quite nice. I had Emily as a bartender, she's very attentive, high energy and very kind. The food arrived very quickly, all three times I put an order in. Taste is great! I had brisket Mac n cheese, a single meat dinner (brisket, corn bread, apple beans) delicious. Emily then suggested a home cooked carrot cake. How can a guy say no to that? May of been the best I ever had! Had one 20oz ipa and the bill was about 80 with the tip. It's a treat, not a daily venture for me.

Stopped here for dinner while visiting family in NH. WOW. The service was fantastic. Jada was our server and she was so kind and accommodating to our group. The food was amazing as well. We visited on Valentine’s Day so not only was the space decorated and the staff dressed up but all of the women in the restaurant were gifted red roses and chocolate covered strawberries — so classy. There was also live music, a country singer playing guitar who was so fun. The experience at Poor House was 10/10, thank you!

We had dinner at poorhouse this evening. The food was great as usual! But there was one waitress on the floor and she was responsible for the bar as well. Jada was fantastic she worked her butt off but I was concerned with how long we had to wait for her to be able to serve our table only because the two other employees were sitting at one of the booths on their phones not helping Jada bus tables or run food. They didn’t do anything to help her. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and team work really is essential. For one waitress to keep the food going to the correct tables, bus those tables once guest are done dining in while running drinks from the bar is nearly impossible. But a huge kudos to Jada she did it all with a smile on her face!!

My husband, best friend, and I have traveled and eaten all over the country, and this place has been THE best BBQ we've ever had! The service was immaculate, and PHIL.The man, the myth, the sauce boss, has truly outdone himself. We greatly appreciated the conversation, compliments, and the sauce! An absolute gentleman and scholar. This is a true gem in the mountains of New Hampshire. It's a must go!

Don't waste your time or money. Its not real BBQ. Go to McDonald's before this place. Its tastes like crap, dried out, I don't even know how it stays open. Poor service, just skip and go to another town. No idea how this got a good review. Terrible, skip it and move on. These guys don't know BBQ, Arby's is better. They went to walmat and thought they knew how to cook, you should see out back. Just keep driving. Trailer park.
