I like this place because their chicken it is fresh, lightly coated, & it tastes good plus they have good sides options. Good sized dining room as well.
I go here once a month and always order meal deal and choose what type of meat I want and always get it. Today Feb 9th, 2026 ,at around 12 noon, came in and ordered the same. The person took the order is in manager uniform told me I can't choose the meat, meal deal comes as is and if I choose, he has to charge me as individual pieces. He looks young and I am sure he wasn't trained properly. I hope someone from upper management could ready this and correct the problem, for me, popeyes from now on
First some disclaimers, I am not Guatemalan nor particularly fond of Central or South cuisine in general. So maybe it’s no surprise that I don’t like the chicken here that much. In truth I was caught up by the hoopla by media influencers touting this chicken as a threat to both Popeye’s and KFC (it’s not). I got both the grilled version and the fried version. Flavor aside, the grilling and frying result was not the best. Both types yielded chicken that was a bit dry. The Guatemalan spices made it a bit different so that was good. I also kinda got a fun Pollos Hermanos vibe of the Breaking Bad / Better Get Saul series haha.
The flavor is quite good. I visited on a Monday and they had specials on empanadas. The empanadas were delicious. It was the first time I visited them, I think the cashier should make recommendations since I wasn't quite sure what to order even though the menu is not very extensive.
Perfect if you're shopping and want a good, quick, and reasonably priced lunch. My two piece meal with all white meat ($8.50) consisted of one large fried chicken breast and a wing. I chose sweet plantains as my side with a dinner roll. A large hortada was only $2.75. A pretty good deal for a little under $12.
