Poling's Dairy King

Great little family-owned dairy bar just north of West Milford on Rt 19. They have a large selection of dairy treats as well as short order grill items such as burgers and dogs. We stopped here for the first time the other day while in the area. It is a walk-up window order and pick-up. They have a couple of picnic tables in a covered outdoor area. We had a couple of hot dogs with chili, slaw and onions. They were very good. Also had some soft serve ice cream. It is worth a stop.

Quaint out of the way, privately owned icecream shop. It could be fixed up really cute with a little paint and imagination, but the prices are great..

Extremely disappointed. Used to go here constantly. It was a great place with affordable prices and great food/icecream. Noticed this year the tables are all falling apart & you get splinters if you sit on the wooden ones. The icecream is tasteless, no idea how but the vanilla really doesn’t taste like anything. Last year it was so rich and creamy, we loved it. We got a banana split with the wrong toppings (which I didn’t even complain since the young lady took forever to make it, we were just glad to get it) but then it didn’t even have a banana in it. This has happened twice. The cone sizes are so inconsistent we never know what to order. A small is huge one time then so tiny the next it barely goes above the edge of the cone. Last time we went we left without even ordering because

Best hot dogs and hamburgers around, as well as amazing shakes and desserts. I love to combine the Chocolate/Banana to make a Chanana milk shake! Yum!! Try them you'll LOVE IT ALL!

While I realize they close at 8pm we stood in line from 730pm to 805pm to be stared at and then have the window slammed in my daughter in laws face and closed signs put up. If they weren't going to serve us they could have said so rather than allowing us to stand there. This would have been my 2nd visit because I enjoyed the 1st so much but not sure the food is worth the RUDENESS.
