Customer Reviews
We were in the area and happened to stop by here completely by chance. The place is okay. Unlike other spots where you already have “pre-assembled” ingredients for a poke bowl and just choose which one you want (so-called signature bowls), here you have to build it yourself. The poke was fine. The ingredients are fresh, and since I picked what I like, of course I enjoyed it. The place feels cozy and interesting, with lots of plants inside. My only complaint is that the low white tables are very close together, so you literally can’t move. They need to be spaced out a bit.
We loved all the tropical plant life at Poke Okie Cafe It really set a relaxing mood. I got the 3-scoop poke bowl, it was thoroughly delicious! My hubby got the roasted duck rice bowl, good but very dry. We both got a Hawaiian sunshine smoothie- Big Mistake! No, seriously. They were amazing, but very filling. We could have gotten one and shared it. Go to Pokie Okie! 💃💃💃Follow @suttondancer5757 for more food and experiences in and around Chicago 💃💃💃
Walk up counter restaurant with a nice variety of poke bowl options. Medium size was enough to satisfy a late lunch on an empty stomach. Everything tasted fresh and the poke sauce had a good balance of umami and sweetness without being overpowering. The preparation took awhile otherwise no complaints.
One of the best poke bowls in Chicago! The service and ambience was great and super welcoming. I tried the poke bowl and it was absolutely delicious. They seem to be a newer business, and I can tell my boyfriend and I are destined to be regulars here. I think this place might even become our new go to. And to top it off, the dine in experience was great. They served us our bowls in actual ceramic bowls (which btw were so cute) and not the typical plastic container. Thanks for the great food!
Stopped in randomly while we were in West Town and were blown away! The food is incredible and there are several options to customize your poke bowl. The drinks (green tea and hibiscus tea) were delicious and refreshing. The location is very clean and uplifting with several plants inside. And the staff was kind and quick to bring our orders. Would recommend! We will be making trips here more often.
