This used to be our go-to spot for lobster rolls by the beach, but we noticed with each subsequent year that prices have increased while the food quality is simultaneously reduced. The photos alone are clear enough to visualize the issue. I let the waitress know that the rolls had very little meat in them (2025) and seemingly did not notice the issue, and that this is how they serve them now. Will not be going back again when there are better options literally down the street.
I stopped by Point Lobster for an entree to go. The “Large Bite” menu stated Jumbo Fried Shrimp and after looking in the seafood cold case out front, the jumbo shrimp looked great. Unfortunately after I got home and opened my dinner what they gave me was butterflied small to medium shrimp. How disappointing… I couldn’t believe it so I called and they told me they use “kitchen shrimp” which is already breaded and not the shrimp they sell in their market store front. I will never go back. FALSE ADVERTISING
We stopped here to get some appetizers and to try their Maine lobster roll. They have a cute little indoor room and the windows were open on a beautiful afternoon. The service was good and the waitress friendly. We got the mozzarella sticks and the swordfish bites, which were both great. However, the lobster roll, as others have said, left little to be desired. It might be the most pathetic looking lobster roll I’ve ever had, and really had no flavor to boot. That was unfortunate and very disappointing, as that was the main reason for our visit.
I first tried their lobster roll at a recent seafood festival in Belmar, and I was blown away instantly. I had to make sure that I made this place one of my first stops during my little Jersey Shore getaway this past weekend. This place is a seafood market and restaurant. The restaurant part is a bit small with limited seating. They have a good-sized menu and food here is a bit costly, but it is so worth it. I got the lobster roll with fries, and everything was fantastic. The fries alone had great flavor and a real kick to them. The hot lobster roll was just as great as the one I had a week before. The staff here is really nice, the service is quick and the establishment is clean. The only thing is that they don't serve alcohol. I definitely recommend as I rate their lobster roll as the
Fast friendly service with great food. We got the swordfish bites, which were cooked perfectly. Blackened Fish and shrimp tacos, which had a great sauce on them. Clam chowder could have been a bit warmer but was still delicious. Great aesthetic and vibe.
