Point 40 Diner

The Point 40 Diner has a strong local feel, with the staff knowing many of the customers by name. Despite it being our first visit, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was pleasant, though it felt a bit more like a restaurant than a traditional diner. The food was good — I had the open-faced pastrami sandwich with fries, and my wife had the open-faced turkey Reuben. For dessert, we shared a carrot cake, which was very good, with an excellent cream cheese frosting. Plenty of parking is available.

It was a very slow time of day. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the food was mid. Could have been the time of day but we will try again

We went to this diner they welcome you with love and kindness. It was my first time there. The server was very nice, kind, helpful, very attentive to all of us. It was a group of 10 people. The server didn’t even mess up our order she knew what everyone wanted and asked for. Our food was given to us in a timely fashion when we got our food it was nice and hot. Our server went over and beyond we were very pleased with the food, it was good and a good price. I will go back again. They are kid friendly also.

Adorable diner. Great location. Easy to find and ample parking. Lots of seating inside. Great ambiance. They serve pound cake as bread! Weird but ok. I had salmon and it was delicious. The tartar sauce was good but not enough of it. The Cole slaw was good. Broccoli was over cooked. Service was good. We were greater quickly and the waitstaff was friendly but we waited a long time to have our order taken. There were several options for gluten free and vegetarian which was helpful. Overall, good experience.

Point 40 is a perfectly serviceable diner, and I mean that in the best way possible. A leisurely drive through beautiful Jersey farmland delivered me to this gem of a restaurant, which I could tell right away is a favorite hangout for the locals, who were greeted warmly by our attentive server. I was in the mood for some standard diner fare -- an hot open-face roast beef -- and Point 40 did not disappoint. Friendly, quite clean, with a surprising flare to the bright interior. A super diner that checked all the right boxes. I hope to go back soon.
