Pody’s BBQ in Pecos, Texas, was hands-down the best barbecue we had during our time in the Lone Star State—and that’s saying a lot. From the moment we walked up and smelled the smoker working its magic, we knew we were in for something special. The brisket was incredibly tender with just the right amount of smoke, and the ribs practically fell off the bone. Every bite was rich with flavor and clearly made with pride and experience. The sides were just as satisfying, rounding out a classic Texas BBQ experience that hit all the right notes. Service was fast and friendly, and the casual setup let the food do all the talking. Hey there! Let me tell you, this spot is the real deal when it comes to Texas BBQ! I had the opportunity to give it a shot during a training session at the civic center, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the mouthwatering brisket to the delicious links, and not to mention the scrumptious potato salad and the surprisingly tasty green beans, everything was spot on. And the sweet tea? Absolutely divine! Needless to say, the entire company thoroughly enjoyed every bite of the incredible food this place has to offer!

Bring your A-Game for this Que!! One if the best I’ve had in Texas! It beat Terry Blacks in Lockhart, TX hands down. I ordered the two meat plate of Pulled Pork and Moist Brisket with Coleslaw and Green Chili Hominy. The meat portions alone are enough to fill you up. Plan accordingly and arrive early. They are known for running out. When it’s gone, it’s gone.

Super cute place. Wait wasn’t too long but I have heard it takes a while. Pody’s is a must-visit here in Pecos and is known for the line wrapping around outside. I got the Pecos XL Spud (pictured below) and it was good. Didn’t wow me like I initially expected but it was pretty good. I couldn’t eat the whole thing. Comes with a side of jalapeños and bbq sauce that I drizzled on. Didn’t care for the onions.
