If you’re looking for authentic Lowcountry flavor in Charlotte, Poboy Lowcountry Seafood is a must-visit. Poboy hit the spot. I had the fried croaker and shrimp with sides of dirty rice and fried okra. The Cajun seasoning was spot on, and the kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing—everything was perfectly cooked, not under or over. The shrimp and croaker had that perfect crunch. A quick heads-up: If you aren't a fish expert, which I am not, be aware that the croaker is served whole (not filleted) and has many small bones. My only small critique is that I’d love the dirty rice to be a bit "dirtier" (more beef/meat), but everything else was excellent. The sides are enough for two people to share. My perch po boy was very solid. The bread was very soft. I appreciate them using dark greens for the lettuce and the po boy sauce was on point! Will come back next time I'm on that side of town.

2nd visit. Cajun shrimp and flounder. My lucky day…they ran out of popcorn shrimp so they offered jumbo shrimp instead…heck yes! 🥰 the restaurant was clean and staff was friendly! I’ll be back!

Yesterday was my second time at Po Boy’s. 👍🏽 The first time I went was last year and the first thing I noticed was the fresh fish they had in the back, so that was a good sign. The food is made to order, so it’s piping hot once you get it. The customer service is always great and the prices are affordable. Additionally— the food is not overly seasoned. The only thing that made me take a second look yesterday was the current health grade of 96.5.

So I ordered on DD and first they should check out how they have their menu. If I pick a side it charges you but then charge you again depending on the size…now if you are getting a large…OKAY but if I’m getting a small order why is it $3 extra and if I try to skip it, it won’t let you move on…seems like a scam or a way to get more money from customers…fix that…that’s messed up man 🤨 Other than that…my food was good. I got flounder 🐟 with shrimp 🦐, hush puppies and fries 🍟 .
